Our Plant has been awarded with IS 1489-Part:1-1991 Certification, IMS Certification and 5S Certification. which makes us one of the most comprehensive, holistic quality management endeavors in the category. Vijay Cements – A Success Journey
Vijay Cements is an established Mini Cement Plant having capacity of 250mt per day. Our brand name is Vijay Gold Cement. Initially it was started as Cement Grinding unit with capacity of 100mt/day in 1992 where the clinker was purchased from outside upto 1995. In 1995 it was upgraded to Mini Cement plant with Two kiln to produce Clinker having capacity of 60mt/day/kiln. To produce this clinker we are having own mining at Kilapazhur for Limestone procurement. Our Kiln capacity was 60mt/day/kiln only. But we upgrade this kiln with engineering modification in Grate from flat type to conical type and get up to 100mt/day/kiln. On 6th February 2014, this management was changed with VVM Group but run with same name of Vijay Cements in the same brand name Vijay Gold Cement. Under VVM Group we are giving more importance on quality, environment and Safety. During this period we have been provided 2000mt concrete silo to stock Limestone, Pet coke and Clay with investment of 5 crore. By these arrangements our cement quality was increased and our environment also improved. Additionally we implemented lots of safety related investment to improve our safety. In 2015, we got IMS Certification for our excellent improvement in our Quality, Environment and Safety. In 2016, our innovation into workplace and quality product process improvement led us to successfully implement 5S Methodology and get 5S Certified.
